Venus Williams

Venus Williams became one of the defining champions of modern women's tennis, winning seven Grand Slam singles titles, including five at Wimbledon. She reached World No.1, won Olympic singles gold and helped transform both the athletic style and professional landscape of the women's game.

Venus Williams entered professional tennis as a teenager and quickly became one of the sport's most dynamic athletes. Her combination of height, speed, serving power and aggressive groundstrokes helped redefine elite women's tennis. In 2000 she won Wimbledon, the US Open and Olympic singles gold, then successfully defended both major titles in 2001. She reached World No.1 in 2002 and ultimately collected five Wimbledon singles crowns. Alongside sister Serena, Venus also built one of the greatest doubles partnerships in tennis history.
