Chris Evert built one of tennis history's greatest records through precision, concentration and extraordinary consistency. She won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, including a women's record seven Roland Garros crowns, and spent 260 weeks as World No.1.
Chris Evert became the model of baseline consistency in the 1970s and 1980s. Her two-handed backhand, immaculate timing and mental control allowed her to dominate across surfaces, but clay became her defining territory. She won seven Roland Garros titles and produced a 125-match winning streak on clay. Evert captured 18 Grand Slam singles championships in total and won at least one major in 13 consecutive seasons.
